PADI IDC PREP KOMODO
We believe that being properly prepared is the key to your success
PADI IDC KOMODO: Instructor Development Course preparation
The PADI IDC is an intensive course that prepares you for the Instructor Examination (IE) and real-world IDC preparation teaching. It also includes aspects beyond the IE that will assist you in becoming a knowledgeable Padi professional.
Over the years, we noticed that participants had problems when they arrived with inadequate background to start the PADI OWSI course. They had to work harder during the IDC than other candidates because they learned things they should have known already. As a result, task loading and a higher degree of stress followed.
At Dragon Dive Komodo, we include an IDC prep course to help you acquire the knowledge you will need during your IDC course.
Eight modules are part of this prep that it’s running few days before the IDC course.
You will start by covering the Padi System with standards and procedures, including the updated instructor manual. Then we are rechecking the knowledge you learned during your PADI Divemaster and being evaluated on Physics, Physiology, Equipment, Skills, and Table planning. Then your course Director will introduce the knowledge development presentations. It will help each candidate to be familiar with manuals and instructors manuals. After these few days of theory, it’s time to practice your underwater skills. In this preparation, you will review the rescue scenario and the famous number 7, open water skills, and demonstrating the skills. Directly after, you will check the confined water skill and then the teaching presentations. Finishing your prep by the swim test, and we promise, your IDC will be an easy one.
