Anybody can become a scuba diver.
The requirements are very few: you need to be at least 10-year-old, in good physical health, and be able to swim.
When you start your PADI Open Water Diver course, you’ll go from barely knowing what scuba diving is, to being an internationally certified diver, having full freedom to explore some of the best diving sites in the world!
The world is your oyster – but being a scuba diver surely helps.
Today, millions of people have learnt to scuba dive. With no prior scuba diving experience required, the PADI open water certification will unlock the wonders of the aquatic world.
The PADI Open Water Diver course duration is three to five days and consists of three phases:
- Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Go over scuba diving equipment, the effects of water pressure on your body, and learn underwater hand signals.
A strong knowledge foundation is a powerful resource that can help you understand why you do what you do.
