You can go scuba diving in Komodo all year round because every month of the year promises top quality scuba diving actions on the Komodo National park.
The April to November period
It is considered dry season when the weather is at its best. However, November to March is rainy season with few showers up to 2 hours usually during nigh time.
In our opinion, April & June, just after rainy season, is the best month for scuba diving in national park.
Normally the water is cooler (average 20 to 25°C) in the south of the National Park and warmer and clearer in the north (average 25 to 28°C) of it with the best visibility around 30+ m.
July and August, having cooler seas and being more nutrient-rich and lower visibility (average of 15m) but have blooming marine life and will be the Manta party Time !
Manta Rush & Mola Mola
The best time for manta sightings is all year round, and for Mola Mola the best month is generally August.

We believe to have one of the best staff, with decades of experience teaching and guiding divers of every level underwater from SSI to CMAS certification all around the world. Your safety at Dragon Dive Komodo is our guideline. We guarantee your first-rate, secure, and memorable scuba diving holiday in Komodo.
Our priority mission is to be a ‘Fun and Secure‘ and we look up to this in many ways, through amazing staff on site, only brand new and well maintained equipment, and a dedicated computer to each scuba diver to ensure surface time is kept to a minimum.
Our modo is safety, so to ensure the safest experience possible we apply the same rules from our previous experience : “Safety is no accident ” that limits our groups to a maximum of 4 guests (2 buddy pairs) per certified Guide that could be a Divemaster or Instructor, instead of being a Group of 10 per guide, too often seen in the area.
As the condition are quite difficult, we do not accept “solo diver” or “autonomous diver”. Our boats carries all the essential safety equipment such as emergency oxygen, life jackets, marine GPS, VHF radio and Sat phone plus our speed boat is always ready in case of emergency.
