CCR Rebreather PADI / TDI COURSE & Diving in KOMODO
Savour Your Next Holiday in KOMODO
PADI Rebreather on AP-DIVING (CCR)
Dragon Dive Komodo is the first dive center and resort to offer PADI closed circuit rebreather training for all divers in Komodo.
Some of the benefits of diving with a closed circuit rebreather over traditional open circuit scuba are longer dive times with longer no decompression limits.
One of the most important for us is less noise and no bubbles. This means underwater animals will approach you more. As a result, you will be able to capture enhanced photos and videos of aquatic life due to your close proximity.
An added bonus is you can stay warmer longer as less body heat is exerted while breathing warm air.
DISCOVER REBREATHER
Rebreathers are cutting-edge dive technology, by recycling the air you breathe, you blow no bubbles anymore. The Discover Rebreather program lets you dive with a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) in controlled conditions with an Instructor. You’ll discover how quiet diving can be without bubbles and quickly learn how different buoyancy control is.
A Discover Rebreather experience is an ideal opportunity to give rebreathers a try before you sign up for a full course.
Or, if you’re already a rebreather diver, you can participate in the program to try a new or different type of rebreather.
- Duration: 2 days
- Dives: 2-3 dives
- Max depth: 12m
Including gas and equipment.
Ever wanted to try diving on a rebreather? Want to see what it’s like to dive with no bubbles?
- Overview of CCR theory
- Equipment set up.
- Pool session with basic skills
- Open water dive to 12m
REBREATHER DIVER
The TDI Air Diluent Closed Circuit Diver Course is your first step into closed circuit rebreather diving (CCR Diving) and your first truly quiet diving experience.
This course uses the most up to date technology CCR’s to maximize your Nitrox supply and provide the diver with the optimum breathing gas for the required depth by maintaining a constant partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2).
The skills for this CCR Diving Course include:
- Correct assembly and failure checks
- Calibration
- Basic maintenance
- Cleaning and disinfecting
- Risk analysis and awareness
- Emergency procedures
- Rebreather Dive Planning
- Open Circuit Bail-out considerations and calculations
- Duration: 4 days
- Dives: 9 dives
- Max depth: 30m
- Minimum age 18
- Provide proof of 20 logged open water dives. If completing a unit crossover, provide proof of 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
- Provide proof as a TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI*
- If the rebreather is a TDI approved sidemount rebreather, the student must hold the TDI Sidemount Diver certification or equivalent, provide proof of 10 logged sidemount dives, and any additional requirements the sidemount rebreather manufacturer may have. Including gas and equipment.
All equipment, CO2 scrubber cartridge and gases are included (except stand alone rebreather computer, Rebreather and Sofnolime excluded).
- Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) type R
- Prepacked CO2 scrubber cartridge
- Rebreather computer controller
- Onboard tanks and gases
- exposure suit, mask
- Stand alone rebreather computer Rental, 150,000 IDR per dive – Shearwater computers Perdix & Petrel
TDI Air diluent decompression diver
The TDI Air Diluent Closed Circuit Decompression Procedures Diver Course is the second level certification course for divers wishing to utilize a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) for air decompression diving to depths of 40m.
During the course, students will learn the benefits as well as the hazards for CCR diving.
Students are permitted to utilize a diluent and bailout mix with no greater than a 20% helium content and no less than a 21% oxygen content, and are permitted to use up to 100% oxygen for decompression.
- Setup and maintenance of the unit
- Loop volume management
- Calibration of electronics
- Emergency procedures
- Buoyancy control
- CNS tracking
- Decompression dive planning
- Bailout skills and gas management
- Duration: 6 days
- Dives: 15 dives
- Max depth: 40m
- Minimum age 18
- TDI Air Diluent CCR Diver certified or equivalent,
- Minimum of 30 hours and 30 dives on the CCR unit.
- Six months CCR diving experience
OR
- Minimum age 18
- Provide proof of 50 logged dives. If completing a unit crossover, at least 10 logged CCR dives in the last 12 months.
- Provide proof of TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and Deco Procedures Diver or equivalent from agencies recognized by TDI
- If the rebreather is a TDI approved sidemount rebreather, the student must hold the TDI Sidemount Diver certification or equivalent, provide proof of 10 logged sidemount dives, and any additional requirements the sidemount rebreather manufacturer may have.
