CCR Rebreather PADI / TDI COURSE & Diving in KOMODO
Savour Your Next Holiday in KOMODO
PADI Rebreather on AP-DIVING (CCR)
Dragon Dive Komodo is the first dive center and resort to offer PADI closed circuit rebreather training for all divers in Komodo.
Some of the benefits of diving with a closed circuit rebreather over traditional open circuit scuba are longer dive times with longer no decompression limits.
One of the most important for us is less noise and no bubbles. This means underwater animals will approach you more. As a result, you will be able to capture enhanced photos and videos of aquatic life due to your close proximity.
An added bonus is you can stay warmer longer as less body heat is exerted while breathing warm air.
DISCOVER REBREATHER
Rebreathers are cutting-edge dive technology, by recycling the air you breathe, you blow no bubbles anymore. The Discover Rebreather program lets you dive with a closed circuit rebreather (CCR) in controlled conditions with an Instructor. You’ll discover how quiet diving can be without bubbles and quickly learn how different buoyancy control is.
A Discover Rebreather experience is an ideal opportunity to give rebreathers a try before you sign up for a full course.
Or, if you’re already a rebreather diver, you can participate in the program to try a new or different type of rebreather.
- 1 day, 1 dive in Pool, 1 dive in Confined Open Water.
- Course prerequisites:
- Minimum age 18
- Certified as a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Proof of a minimum of 15 logged dives in open water
Divers are given a theoretical overview of rebreathers, the types, what they do and the mechanical principals behind them before taking part in either 1 or 2 dives with an instructor.
Learning objectives are:
- Pre dive setup and post dive care
- Breathing gas humidity and temperature
- Buoyancy control and work of breathing (WOB)
- Different types of rebreathers
- Ascents and descents on rebreather
All equipment, CO2 scrubber cartridge and gases are included (except stand alone rebreather computer).
- Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) type R
- Prepacked CO2 scrubber cartridge
- Rebreather computer controller
- Onboard tanks and gases
- exposure suit, mask
- Stand alone rebreather computer Rental, 150,000 IDR per dive – Shearwater computers Perdix & Petrel
REBREATHER DIVER
The PADI Rebreather Diver course is an entry-level closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) course for recreational diving to 18 metres/60 feet using rebreathers that meet the specifications appropriate for recreational divers.
New Type R (recreational) rebreathers are lightweight, easy-to-transport and have sophisticated electronics to simplify their use.
Why dive a rebreather?
You get longer no stop limits, reduced gas consumption because you reuse most of your exhaled gas, and unmatched wildlife encounters because you don’t release annoying bubbles and lets you experience things you never imagined possible as a scuba diver.
- 3 days, 6 dives in Open Water, max depth 18 m / 60 ft.
- Course prerequisites:
- Be a PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Be a PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent
- Have a minimum of 25 logged dives
- Be at least 18 years old
The aim of this course is to train divers to develop basic rebreather diving skills proper to diving within the normal recreational depth limits for no decompression diving to 18 metres using oxygen and an air diluent.
- Performing proper predive checks
- Developing the habit of keeping the loop closed when the mouthpiece is not in your mouth
- Doing bubble checks, bailout drills and handling other potential problems
- Fine-tuning buoyancy control
- Monitoring displays and gauges
- Post-dive procedures and disassembly
All equipment, CO2 scrubber cartridge and gases are included (except stand alone rebreather computer).
- Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) type R
- Prepacked CO2 scrubber cartridge
- Rebreather computer controller
- Onboard tanks and gases
- exposure suit, mask
- Stand alone rebreather computer Rental, 150,000 IDR per dive – Shearwater computers Perdix & Petrel
ADVANCED REBREATHER DIVER
The PADI Advanced Rebreather Diver continues training for PADI Rebreather Divers who also have the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification, qualifying them to dive as deep as 30 metres/100 feet. This course builds on your PADI Rebreather Diver certification by expanding your knowledge, adding a bailout cylinder, and if you are already a PADI Deep Specialty diver, the training will take you to dive as deep as 40 metres/130 feet.
