⚓ Embarkation

Labuan Bajo harbour, typically around midday on day 1. We recommend arriving in Labuan Bajo the evening before to avoid flight delay issues.

Are Komodo National Park fees included in the price?
Yes — park fees are included in the price displayed at checkout via DiveHQ. We pre-register every guest by name under the 2026 quota system. No cash is required at the park gate and there are no surprise add-ons on arrival.
Is Nitrox included on the Shenron liveaboard?
Yes. Nitrox (approximately 29–31% O2 depending on daily conditions) is included at no extra charge for all Nitrox-certified divers. If you are not yet Nitrox certified, we can run the PADI Enriched Air specialty on board during your cruise for €250.
How many divers are on board at once?
The Shenron accommodates a maximum of 8 divers across 4 private ensuite cabins. We maintain a maximum ratio of 4 divers per guide underwater. This is a boutique operation — we do not oversell departures.
What certification level do I need for Komodo?
Advanced Open Water with recent diving experience is strongly recommended. Komodo sites can involve strong currents, thermoclines and depths beyond 20 metres. Open Water certified divers can be accommodated on selected sites — contact us with your dive log and we will assess your eligibility.
How far in advance should I book?
Under the 2026 Komodo visitor quota, manta season dates (November to March) and school holiday departures sell out months ahead. For peak dates, 3 to 6 months in advance is realistic. Off-season dates are more flexible — check live availability in the schedule above.
Can I charter the Shenron for a private group?
Yes. Full private charter for up to 8 divers is available with a custom itinerary, departure date and duration of your choice. Message us on WhatsApp or email diving@dragondivekomodo.com for a private charter quote.
What is the cancellation policy?
Full cancellation terms are displayed at checkout via DiveHQ before payment is confirmed. General guide: cancellations 60+ days before departure — full refund minus processing fees. Under 60 days — sliding scale partial refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers liveaboard dive trip cancellation.
